There will be three elevator pitch trainings held this year for those that would like to participate as a "seller" at Owensboro Buys It! in October. Sellers must attend at least one elevator pitch training to qualify. They are scheduled for May 8th at noon and 5:15 PM and June 12th at noon. The trainings will last about an hour and will be taught by Ken Lawson from Greenwell-Chisholm. If you participated one of the last two years, you do NOT have to attend the elevator pitch training. However, you must attend 2 of the Make a Business Connections from May - September.
These trainings lead small businesses through a process to build and present their own two-minute “elevator pitch.”
Qualifying businesses that attend the required events will then be invited to participate and meet with purchasing decision-makers from larger local companies/industry/organizations at the October 25th event at the Hines Center. Appointments will be set in five-minute increments with time for the business to give their elevator pitch and then have three minutes for Q&A.
